Each year there are too many Keeshonden that must be rescued. They are rescued as lost and abandoned Keeshonden from animal shelters and from owners who are unable or unwilling to care for them. Rescued Keeshonden are provided with medical care as appropriate, including veterinary examinations, immunizations, spaying/neutering, heartworm testing, and treatment of illnesses or other medical problems. Volunteers foster the dogs while they are evaluated, providing rehabilitation and training as needed until a loving forever home can be found. There are many wonderful dogs that end up in rescue due to no fault of their own. If you have the space and the love these dogs need, please consider adopting a rescued Keeshonden. You will not regret it!
